Starz, Friday, 10 p.m.: Lisa Taddeo’s acclaimed novel Three women is being made into a 10-episode limited series on Starz. In the series, Gia (Shailene Woodley) travels across the country to write about the personal stories, desires and attachments of a trio of women: Lisa (Betty Gilpin), a suburban housewife who is having an affair; Sloane (DeWanda Wise), who is in an open marriage; and Maggie (Gabrielle Creevy), who files a lawsuit against the high school teacher who groomed her. 2. Natasha Rothwell shines in How to die alone

Hulu, Friday, 12:01 a.m.: Precarious And The White Lotus Natasha Rothwell becomes a leading actress in How to die alonea comedy-drama she co-created with Vera Santamaria. She plays an airport worker, Mel, who is afraid of flying. But after a near-death experience, Mel decides she wants to learn how to enjoy life and stand up for herself. The show’s selling point isn’t its love triangle, its family issues, or even its workplace comedy vibe. How to die alone is clearly at its best when it comes to Mel’s quest to free herself from her fears so she can finally feel alive. And thankfully, Rothwell injects her performance with enough pathos that the rare bouts of turbulence are worth it.

Netflix, Friday, 3:01 a.m.: Based on the dystopian science fiction novel by Scott Westerfield, Ugly is set in a seemingly perfect future in which, starting at age 16, a person can undergo cosmetic surgery to become “pretty.” When a friend of Tally’s (Joey King) runs away, she sets out on a quest to save her and discovers that a revolution is brewing against the practice and the government. 5. Wynonna Earp is back with a Revenge

Tubi, Friday, 3:01 a.m.: Three years after the fun western horror film Wynonna Earp Once completed, it returns as a 90-minute film. Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) and Doc (Tim Rozon) attempt to have a happy ending when she is transported back to her hometown of Purgatory, where a mysterious event has spooked the community.
